Unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in August

The Central Bureau of Statistics revised the June and July unemployment rate upward from 5.4% to 5.7%.

Israel's unemployment rate continues to fall, reaching 5.6% in August 2011, in monthly trend figures the Central Bureau of Statistics reported today. The Central Bureau of Statistics revised the June and July unemployment rate upward from 5.4% to 5.7%.

The unemployment rate was 6.1% in January, and it has fallen almost continuously since January 2010, when it was 7.1%.
