The tender is for the upgrade of the 10-kilometer section of Road 65 between Massad Junction and Kadarim Junction in the Galilee.
The Ministry of Transport today published the first tender for the upgrade of the 10-kilometer section of Road 65 between Massad Junction and Kadarim Junction in the Galilee. A second tender will soon be published for the upgrade of Road 65 between Golani Junction and Massad Junction. Construction is due to be completed by the end of 2015.
The road will be made into a dual-carriageway, the Massad Junction will be replaced with an interchange with Road 807 (Migdal on the Kinneret with Maghar), and the Kadarim Junction will be replaced with an interchange. Golani Junction is also being replaced with an interchange, in a project scheduled for completion in 2013.
The tenders are part of the NIS 27.5 billion Netevei Israel project to connect Kiryat Shmona with Eilat by traffic light-less highways.
