Gemini Israel Funds today announced that it was making Avi Hasson a partner.
In the past five years, Hasson has managed the fund's investments, and served on the boards of portfolio companies StarHome and Cognera Software Corporation. In the past year, he was involved in Gemini's investments in Adimos and Diligent Technologies. He will be responsible for telecommunications and data storage at Gemini.
Before joining Gemini, Hasson was director of product marketing at ECI Telecom (Nasdaq:ECIL) and held marketing positions at ECtel (Nasdaq:ECTX).
Gemini Israel Funds managing partner Yossi Sela said, "Avi Hasson is another example of how Gemini builds its fund by choosing young and talented people who bring with them technology, marketing and administrative experience, which is seen in the building of and support for our portfolio companies."
Hasson joins Sela, general partners Tali Aben, Adi Pundak Mintz, Lior Berger, Tali Aben, and chairman Ed Mlavsky.
Gemini recently raised a $200 million fund, and now manages $550 million in four funds. It has invested in 73 high-companies to date, mostly, young semiconductor, telecommunications, and enterprise software companies.
