The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.11% to 1,633.48 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.13% to 1,468.69 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.87% to 389.03 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.10% to 347.47 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.36 billion.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.195% at NIS 3.588/$ from Friday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate down 0.216% at 4.160/€.
On the market, Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: TSEM; TASE: TSEM) fell 5.16% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 1.92% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 1.81%.
Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORA) rose 5.97% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 2.54% and parent company Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 3.88%. Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) rose 3.23% and Mazor Robotics Ltd. (TASE:MZOR) rose 4.64%. Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 0.34% on the day's biggest trading turnover.
Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) rose 3.33% after buying Dexia Israel (Public Finance) Ltd. (TASE:DXIL), which rose 8.91%.
