Tue: TASE rally runs out of steam

Cellcom and Harel led the TASE down today while LivePerson and Israel Chemicals bucked the market.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.34% to 1,582.57 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index fell 0.37% to 1,440.08 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.74% to 379.92 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.08% to 350.28 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.09 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.527% at NIS 3.624/$ from Monday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.515% at 4.118/€.

On the market, Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 2.66% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index today and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 1.28%. Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) fell 2.44%, Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 1.83% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.73%.

Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) fell 1.95% but Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 0.58% and Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 0.52%.

LivePerson Inc. (Nasdaq: LPSN); TASE: LPSN) rose 2.26% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index today. Israel Chemicals (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 1.04% on the day's biggest trading turnover and parent company Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 1.38%. Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) rose 1.10%.
