Tue: Teva recovery continues, lifting TASE

Teva rose again and Strauss was up sharply on strong results.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.13% to 1,606.96 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.12% to 1,431.21 points; but the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.33% to 373.94 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.07% to 347.40 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.17 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate down 0.404% at NIS 3.695/$ from yesterday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.152% at 4.284/€.

On the market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 1.87% on the day's biggest trading turnover, rising for the third straight session after last week's big fall. Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 4.8% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index, after reporting strong second quarter results. Sodastream International Ltd. (Nasdaq: SODA; TASE: SODA) rose 2.89% and Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) rose 2.42%.

Opko Health Inc. (NYSE: OPK; TASE: OPK) fell 4.9% and Mazor Robotics Ltd. (TASE:MZOR) fell 5.8% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index.
