Israel has no long-term national housing policy. In view of the housing shortage, the social protest and socioeconomic gaps, the time has come to set a national housing policy for Israel as in every Western country. A housing policy should be set by a national authority for urban renewal, which will adjust the housing supply to the needs and demands of each sector, and create a supply of new housing at the national scale
