New SIM card gives free incoming cellular international calls

Outgoing international cellular calls from Israel using United Mobile’s prepaid SIM card will cost 30-70% less.

United Mobile has begun marketing in Israel an SIM card, which provides free incoming cellular international calls. The receiver of the call pays nothing. Incoming cellular calls from 62 of the 110 countries where United Mobile’s “range mobile” prepaid SIM card functions will be free. Incoming cellular calls from the other countries will be charged about half the average current rates.

Outgoing international cellular calls from Israel using United Mobile’s SIM card will cost 30-70% less than international rates charged by Israel’s wireless operators. The price comparisons are with based on the operators’ discount rates for international calls.

For example, an three-minute call from Italy costs a Cellcom Israel Ltd. customer NIS 3.89, a Partner Communications Co. Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE:PTNR; LSE:PCCD) customer NIS 3.89, and a Pele-Phone Communications Ltd. customer NIS 3.40. United Mobile’s “range mobile” SIM card customers will pay nothing. A three-minute international cellular call to Italy will cost a United Mobile’s “range mobile” SIM card customer NIS 9.71, Cellcom and Partner customers NIS 19.92, and a Pele-Phone customer NIS 19.43.

The United Mobile’s “range mobile” prepaid SIM card is suitable for all handset models. It can be bought for a one-time charge of €51.50, plus €15 of airtime, and can be recharged via the company’s website.
