Bank Hapoalim: Half our capital market trading is now online.
Bank Hapoalim (LSE: BKHD; TASE: POLI) today launched a new and improved system for online trading. The bank said the new system enabled customers to benefit from convenient, smart, and professional management of investment portfolios anywhere and anytime.
The system’s most noteworthy innovations are its ability to trade in options for foreign securities, view trading quotes in real time, see market conditions in Israel and the US on a single screen, and get capital market and economic news and graphs of leading indices. Other innovations include the ability to send buy and sell orders for later business days, and to cancel or change orders before they are carried out at no charge.
With the launch of the new system, Bank Hapoalim said half of capital market trading at the bank was carried out online. Since online banking and financial transactions became available, securities trading has become the most frequently use online banking service, because most customers have Internet access.
