Injunction issued against Ahava USA

Dead Sea Laboratories: Ahava USA continues to use our trademark, thereby causing us severe and ongoing harm.

At the request of Dead Sea Laboratories Ltd. the Tel Aviv District Court has issued a temporary injunction banning Ahava USA from using the Ahava trademark, reputation, and advertising material belonging to the petitioner, or from using the Ahava.com website for the sale of the petitioner’s products.

Dead Sea Laboratories claims that it invests over NIS 5 million in advertising and sales promotions of Ahava products in Israel. These products are marketed in over 30 countries worldwide, and the Ahava trademark is registered in over 50 countries. In its petition to the court, Dead Sea Laboratories claims that Ahava USA and its owner, Brett Goldberg, signed an agreement with it in March 1993 to distribute the company’s products in the US. Dead Sea Laboratories claims that this agreement expired in December 2004, after Ahava USA failed to fulfill its commitments.

Dead Sea Laboratories claims that Ahava USA continues to use these means, thereby causing Dead Sea Laboratories severe and ongoing harm.
