The second most popular destination is Antalia, Turkey, followed by London and Paris.
New York is most popular Sukkot holiday destination for Israelis, according to a survey by Ophir Tours Ltd. of 500 travellers. The second most popular destination is Antalia, Turkey, followed by London; Paris; northern Italy; Berlin; Thailand; Varna, Bulgaria; Spain; Greece; and Cyprus, in descending order.
The survey also found that 150,000 Israelis will travel abroad over the holiday, 10% more than during the corresponding period last year. The increase in the number of travellers to overseas destinations is reportedly coming at the expense of Sinai: 60% of people who cancelled trips to Sinai are staying in Eilat, while 40% opted for Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, or Turkey.
