Golan Fine Crafts CEO Gili Peres: We plan to upgrade the holiday village in the Club Med style.
Golan Fine Crafts (1977) Ltd. (TASE:GLAN) has bought the Ha’On holiday village on the eastern shore of the Kinneret from Kibbutz Ha’On for NIS 23 million.
The 63-dubnam (15.75-acre) holiday village has 96 bungalows, a 2,000-sq.m. central building, two restaurants, an ostrich farm, games area, a spa, private beach, promenade, dock, and two breakwaters. Golan Fine Crafts CEO Gili Peres said the company planned to initially invest NIS 5 million in upgrading the holiday village in the Club Med style, including upgrading the bungalows, building a luxury restaurant, water services, a pool and special water attractions. 100 more bungalows will be built later.
Peres said the purchase of the Ha’On holiday village was Golan Fine Crafts’ first step toward establishing a tourism and recreation division and subsidiary for this business.
