Omri Sharon pleads guilty

MK Omri Sharon was convicted of false registration of corporate documents, perjury, violating the Party Financing Law, and other charges.

The Tel Aviv Magistrates Court today convicted MK Omri Sharon (Likud), the son of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, of false registration of corporate documents, perjury, violating the Party Financing Law (1973), and other charges.

Tel Aviv Magistrates Court President Judge Edna Bekenstein convicted Omri Sharon on the basis of his confession, and following a plea bargain between the prosecutor and Sharon’s lawyer. In the plea bargain, the breach of trust item in the original indictment was replaced by lesser charges in the Annex Research case.

Omir Sharon was convicted of using Annex Research to conceal donations for Ariel Sharon’s campaign in the Likud primaries in 1999.
