Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Co., Dankner Lusky & Co. law firms to merge

The merged law firm will be larger than Herzog, Fox & Neeman, which D&B Israel ranks as Israel’s largest law firm.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that the Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Co. and Dankner Lusky & Co. law firms are merging. The joint firm will become Israel’s largest law firm, in terms of the number of lawyers employed.

The merged law firm will have 90 lawyers, 28 of whom will be partners, and over 150 employees. The merged firm will be called Godlfarb, Levy, Eran, Meiri & Co., thereby bringing an end to the 21-year old Dankner-Lusky label.

The merged law firm will be larger than Herzog, Fox & Neeman, which D&B Israel ranks as Israel’s largest law firm, with 87 attorneys.

Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Co. was founded in 1972 by Adv. William B. Goldfarb, who now serves as a consultant to the firm, and Adv. Yehuda M. Levy, who is now the sole managing partner. D&B Israel ranks the firm as Israel’s sixth largest, while Business Data Israel ranks it as the eighth largest.

Dankner Lusky & Co. was founded in 1984 by Nochi Dankner, now chairman of IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH), and Adv. Moshe Lusky, who quit the Yigal Arnon & Co. law firm. The law firm kept the Dankner Lusky name even though Nochi Dankner severed his ties with the firm a year ago, and sold his share to his young partners. Moshe Lusky, the other founding partner, did the same, gradually moving from law to business, until he severed all ties. He now mainly invests in communications and high-tech.
