Kodkod sells 200,000 Sudoko games in 3 months

My First Sudoko is suitable for children aged four and up, and is available in several languages.

Kodkod Ltd.’s “My First Sudoko” game is conquering the world for Christmas. Kodkod reports 200,000 sales of its Sudoko game in the three months since it launched the game, and expects one million sales in 2006.

To meet demand, Kodkod is shipping the game by air to South Korea, Hong Kong, and Australia. My First Sudoko is also sold in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and France. The company’s Arad factory will boost production to meet delivery schedules. Kodkod has now launched the game in Israel, in advance of Hannukah.

Kodkod has turned the Japanese mathematical crossword into a social game for children, using pictures or numbers. The game’s two-sided tiles provide a choice of either pictures or numbers suited to the children’s abilities. My First Sudoko is suitable for children aged four and up, and is available in several languages. Kodkod has also developed “Sudoko Code” game for adults.

Kodkod develops board games and markets them in 45 countries. 90% of sales are overseas. The company employs 120 people at its Arad factory. The company’s best-selling game for many years has been Rummicube, five million of which have been sold in the past three years.
