Barkan Mounts’ products won prizes at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show .
Barkan Mounts Ltd. has signed a marketing agreement for sale of its mounting systems for home entertainment systems with Menard's Inc. , the third largest do-it-yourself chain in the US. Menard's has 200 stores in the midwestern US. Annual sales under the agreement are expected to reach $1.2 million.
Barkan Mounts president Lior Barkan says that Menard's chose his company to replace a Chinese supplier. Barkan Mounts will supply four products to Menard's, including systems for mounting televisions sets and audio and video devices. The company has signed deals totaling $6 million in recent months to sell a new line of products for mounting liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma screens in Canada, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and Turkey.
Two Barkan Mounts products have been pre-announced as winners in the home theater category of the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which takes place next week in Las Vegas. The products are a system for mounting LCD screens of up to 37 inches, which allows four declination movements, and a shelf for mounting combined steel and plastic accessories.
