Business development program MarketReach America will hold a full-day medical reimbursement strategy conference on January 16 at the Tel Aviv Hilton. The Medical Devices 2006 conference will focus on coverage, coding, and reimbursement for medical devices and diagnostics.
MarketReach America is a business development training and consulting program that helps Israeli entrepreneurs enter the US market. It is a program of the Maryland/Israel Development Center (MIDC), a nonprofit economic development organization, and the Trendlines Group.
Speakers at the event include Lynn Shapiro Snyder, director of the Health Care Practice at US-based law firm Epstein Becker & Green (EB&G). Snyder was named one of the top 100 most powerful people in the US healthcare industry, and one of the top 25 women in healthcare by Modern Healthcare Magazine.
EB&G senior counsel Robert Wanerman, will present issues related to coverage for medical devices. The third presenter, Marcia Nusgart, R.Ph. of Nusgart Consulting LLC, is a leading consultants on medical device coding and reimbursement strategies.
Trendlines Group chairman Steve Rhodes will assess various market entry strategies Israeli companies can taken when approaching the $1.4 trillion US health care sector.
Data from the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute indicate that exports from Israeli life science companies totaled $2.6 billion in 2004, with 60% of these exports going to the US. Approximately 700 companies are actively involved in the life sciences field and of these companies, 280 export their products.
