Mercury Interactive Corp. (Pink Sheets:MERQE) has continued its longstanding cooperation with SAP, the world’s largest manufacturer of business software, with the announcement today that SAP will resell its LoadRunner Mercury's market-leading load testing software, across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Today's announcement follows the December 2005 announcement of a worldwide master relationship agreement for SAP to resell Mercury’s LoadRunner, by way of regional distribution agreements such as the one announced today. Mercury’s LoadRunner allows customers to verify that SAP applications will meet business performance requirements before they "go live" in implementation deployments, and helps deliver SAP application implementations on time.
In a related development, Mercury also announced today the launch of a new version of its Mercury Business Availability Center. The 6.01 version is designed to help customers optimize the performance and availability of business-critical SAP solutions. It enables, among other things, the measuring and monitoring of the end-user experience of SAP solutions and composite applications built on ESA based on both simulated and real-user behavior.
Mercury supplies technology systems for business optimization. It has a market cap on Nasdaq’s pink sheets of $3.1 billion.
Mercury had to restate its financial reports for 2002-2005 in the wake of an options registration scandal. It is expected to publish amended reports for these years during the current quarter.
