Billing giant Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE: DOX) today announced that it would upgrade the online classified directory (yellow pages) of Anuncios en Directorios SA. de CV (ADSA), the directory publishing subsidiary of Telefonos de Mexico SA de CV (Telmex).
Amdocs will serve as prime systems integrator to replace ADSA's online search engine software using ApproxiMatch online search engine as a key component of this initiative, and will also provide maintenance services to support the implementation under a six-year contract.
Amdocs chief marketing officer Michael Matthews said, “As directory publishers shift focus to the Internet, the experience they create for local advertisers and consumers becomes the key differentiator.”
A few days ago, the “AustralianIT” reported that Amdocs would supply its operating support services (OSS) system to Telstra (NYSE; ASX: TLS), as part of an AU$300-400 million project. Amdocs’s of the deal is worth up to AU$100 million.
