Israel 26th in “business friendliness” league

In the index’s disclosure item, Israel scored 7 out of a possible 10 points, above the OECD average of 6.3.

Israel is ranked 26th of 175 countries in the business friendliness index, according to an organization affiliated with the World Bank. One of the index’s variable is protection of investors, in which Israel was tied for fifth place with the US, Canada and Ireland.

Israel Securities Authority said the result was unsurprising, and reflects the agency’s actions in improving enforcement and disclosure to boost economic activity. In the index’s disclosure item, Israel scored 7 out of a possible 10 points, above the OECD average of 6.3, and the regional average of 5.8.
