ECI will provide Atlas Telecom Romania a platform for triple play and IPTV services.
ECI Telecom Ltd. (Nasdaq: ECIL) has signed up a Romanian customer. ECI today announced that it signed a three-year contract with Atlas Telecom Romania to expand its broadband network, providing triple play and IPTV services. The size of the contract was not disclosed.
ECI will provide its Hi-FOCuS 5 IP DSLAM platform to support Atlas Telecom's applications for both residential and business subscribers. The equipment will be installed in Atlas Telecom’s central offices, and additional equipment will be installed within Atlas Telecom's own street cabinets.
Atlas Telecom Romania has been operating since 2001, providing wireline telephony and Internet broadband bundled services to residential customers directly through its high capacity optical fiber national and metropolitan networks.
ECI has a market cap of $990 million, following a 30% rise in its share price over the past two months.
