Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE: DOX) today launched its Amdocs 7 suite. The company signed the first contract for Amdocs 7 yesterday with Indonesian mobile communications service provider PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk.
The Amdoc 7 is a single platform that supports the demands of different services - existing and next-generation video, voice and data irrespective of the method of access, device, payment method, or the network providing the service, including IP multimedia subsystems (IMS).
In a separate development, Frost & Sullivan today published a survey among 200 decision-makers at tier-1 and tier-2 telecommunications providers, cable and satellite broadband providers, and MVNO operators in the UK and North America. The respondents predict a substantial increase in revenue from converged services. Operators are planning to increase spending on services for providing an outstanding customer experience.
