BlueRun Ventures and Carmel Ventures made the investment.
TeraOp Displays Ltd. has raised $7 million in its first financing round from BlueRun Ventures and Carmel Ventures. BlueRun Ventures general partner Yossi Hasson and Carmel Ventures general partner Ori Bendori have joined the TeraOp Displays board.
TeraOp Displays develops innovative personal projection devices based on color lasers and video stills. The company was founded in 2006 by a group of highly experienced entrepreneurs led by CEO Pinny Chaviv and Avigdor Huber. Prior to founding TeraOp Displays, Chaviv was with Star Ventures and before that he served as an executive VP at ECI Telecom Ltd. (Nasdaq: ECIL). Huber previously founded TeraOp Inc., which has no connection with TeraOp Displays, in 2000. TeraOp developed optical network products and raised $15 million.
