MobileAccess wins contract with Sprint

The company will install its wireless coverage system at the George Washington University Hospital.

MobileAccess Networks Inc. today signed a joint contract with Sprint Inc.(NYSE: S) to install its Wire-it-Once universal wireless network at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC. Sprint will use the MobileAccess solution to provide wireless coverage of its services on both the Nextel National Network and Nationwide Sprint PCS Network throughout the 40,000-sq.m. facility over a single wireless infrastructure. The system will enable physicians and caregivers using Sprint and Nextel handsets to communicate and access patient information from almost anywhere in the facility.

The contract will generate several hundred thousand dollars revenue for MobileAccess, which develops innovative wireless solutions ensuring indoors coverage of communications services. The company was founded in 1998 and has raised $52 million to date.

MobileAccess’s customers include AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), France Telecom (NYSE; Paris:FTE), Deutsche Telekom AG (NYSE:DT; XETRA:DTE) and its subsidiary T-Mobile, as well as large organizations such as Lehman Brothers (NYSE:LEH), GE Healthcare, Nike Inc. (NYSE; XETRA:NKE), and the Red Cross.
