Tel Aviv gets new city tour bus

The service will begin in April, enabling tourists to experience the city via bus trips between various sites.

The Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality, Dan Cooperative Society for Public Transport Ltd., and the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Tourism Association have launched its new “City Tour” buses. Dan bought two City Tour buses for NIS 2 million, and will initiate the service in April. Tourists will be able to experience the city via bus trips between various sites, accompanied with explanations in various languages through headphones. The price will NIS 60 per person.

Dan said that it did not expect the City Tour to be profitable. “In the first stage, we consider this a matter of image,” the company said.

The City Tour buses will run during the day. The route will include 30 stops, including the Tel Aviv Port, Herbert Samuel Promenade, the Old City of Jaffa, Neve Zedek, Nahalat Binyamin, Rothschild Blvd., and the Rabin memorial.
