Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: TSEM; TASE: TSEM) will produce CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) chip image sensor system for e2v plc (LSE:E2V), at Tower’s Fab 2 using 0.18-micron technology. The size of the contract was not disclosed, but market sources estimate it at a few million dollars.
e2v develops and manufactures electronic components and sub-systems. The CMOS imaging sensors will used for industrial and medical purposes. e2v and Tower are currently focusing on ten key development projects.
