Int’l banks moving out of Tel Aviv to Herzliya

Inter Israel: Some embassies are also considers a similar move.

International banks are moving their Israeli offices out of the Tel Aviv city to the high-tech enclave of Herzliya Pituah.

Inter Israel partner Yoram Blumental says the move is changing the face of Herzliya Pituah. He cited UBS, which moved its Israeli office from Shaul Hamelech St. in Tel Aviv to the Life Plaza in Herzliya, and Bank of America, which has set up shop in the Herzliya Business Park.

Blumental said some embassies are also considering a similar move, and that the Argentine and Venezuelan embassies have already done so.

He cited two reasons for the trend: the proximity of Kfar Shmaryahu, where many diplomats and top bankers live, to Herzliya; and the quality of the new office buildings and related services in Herzliya.
