Bio Pure Technology develops waste treatment solutions.
Elron Electronic Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: ELRN; TASE: ELRN) has made its third investment in a water solutions company. Elron and Aurum Ventures MKI Ltd., owned by Morris and Benji Kahn, have invested $2.5 million in Bio Pure Technology (BPT) Ltd., in equal shares and will each own 19% of the company.
Elron VP business development Elad Frenkel said BPT already had initial sales, and that its products had been tested and installed at well-known international waste treatment companies. “This is Elron’s third investment in water solutions. We’re becoming a dominant force in water investments. All our water portfolio companies have the ability to become large companies. Each company meets a different water need.
BPT president and CEO Dr. Motty Perry, whom Frenkel called an expert in membranes, founded the company in 2000. Based in Rishon LeZion, the company has 15 employees.
Elron has also invested in Atlantium Ltd. and AqWise Ltd..
