Avraham Bigger holds many positions in subsidiaries of IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH), controlled by chairman and CEO Nochi Dankner. Bigger’s jobs include chairman of Super-Sol Ltd. (TASE:SAE;Pink Sheets:SSLTF.PK), and chairman and CEO of Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd. (TASE: MAIN). Bigger has now resigned as chairman of Super-Sol at Dankner’s request, so that he can concentrate on affairs at Makhteshim Agan.
Super-Sol notified the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) this morning that Bigger has stated his wish to terminate his position as chairman, although he will continue to serve as a director.
Dankner said, “Super-Sol’s parent company, Discount Investment Corporation (TASE: DISI), will recommend to Super-Sol’s board to appoint Rafi Bisker as chairman. Bisker has served on the company’s board for the past four years. He will continue to serve as chairman of Property and Building Ltd. (TASE: PTBL), in addition to his new post.”
Dankner also expressed his appreciation and confidence in Bigger, saying, “His contribution to Super-Sol was immense, and together with CEO Effie Rosenhaus, Bigger brought Super-Sol to where it is today.”
