Starling Advanced Communications is developing a low-cost in-flight Internet access solution.
Hebrew daily “Yediot Ahronot” reports that IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) chairman and CEO Nochi Dankner is in advanced negotiations with former IDF chief of staff Lt.-Gen. (res.) Dan Halutz to serve as CEO of subsidiary Starling Advanced Communications Ltd.
Starling develops broadband satellite communications systems. “Yediot Ahronot” says that the company’s solution will make possible low-cost in-flight Internet access.
Halutz resigned from the IDF on January 17, before the Winograd committee published its interim report on the Second Lebanon War. He has now returned to Israel after studying at Harvard University in the US.
Dankner recently hired former minister of health Dan Naveh.
