Hardware test co QualiSystems raises $10m

The company will pursue product development and expand its international marketing network.

Hardware Test Automation developer QualiSystems Ltd. has raised $10 million in its second financing round from private and institutional investors, including Fishman Holdings, Tao Tsuot Ltd. (TASE: TAO-M), Altshuler Shaham Investments Ltd., and Strauss Investments. The round was held at a company value of $24 million, after money. The company has raised $12 million in both round altogether.

QualiSystems CEO Alex Ackerman and CTO Moshe Moskovitch founded the company in mid-2004. Aryeh Fingold, the founder of HP-Mercury Interactive, serves as chairman.

With QualiSystems, Finegold is continuing his career in computer systems testing. Mercury started out as a hardware and software testing developer, and Daisy Systems Corp., which he founded in early 1980s and was sold to Intergraph, developed software for designing processors.

QualiSystems recently expanded its activity to Europe and the US. Proceeds from the current financing round will enable the company to pursue product development and expand its international marketing network.
