Fourier Systems (1989) Inc., has completed the sale of 7,000 computer systems to the Moscow education system in a $6 million contract. The company sold its Nova5000 system for science classes at schools.
Fourier Systems, founded in 1989, provides educational systems, solutions and laboratories for teaching sciences and high-tech. The company also develops data collation systems for laboratories and data processing systems for the education market.
Fourier Systems CEO Dov Bruker said that the deal greatly strengthens the company’s position in the Russian market. “We’re especially investing in Eastern Europe and the CIS states. The company plans to shortly launch a Hebrew version of its computer adapted for Israel’s schools. We expect that this will become the standard in the Israeli and other countries’ education systems.”
According to IVC Online, Fourier Systems has raised $4 million to date from Docor International Management Ltd., Hershy Friedman’s CDB Star, Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Development (2002-2006) and private investors.
