Wireless backhaul solutions provider Ceragon Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: CRNT; TASE:CRNT) rose 8.9% to $16.65 in above average trading volume on Nasdaq yesterday following the launch of its new wireless Ethernet platform, FibeAir IP-MAX2. The share has risen 205% since January, although it is currently below its August peak of $18.20. The company’s current market cap is $475 million. The share was down 1.3% in morning trading on the TASE today.
Ceragon said that the FibeAir IP-MAX2 provides a fast reliable Ethernet transmission solution for mobile, WiMAX, private and metro area networks. It has Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) certification.
This week, the company is displaying the FibeAir IP-MAX2 at the CEWC (Carrier Ethernet World Congress) 2007 Interoperability Event in Geneva and at WiMAX World 2007 in Chicago.
