In your face: The platform is the first of its kind in Israel.
ISP Walla Communications Ltd. (TASE: WALA) today launched a new initiative, "video talkback", which gives surfers the option of responding with video clips to programs and items appearing on the website.
The platform is the first of its kind in Israel. It enables surfers to film and upload a 30-second video clip, and to watch the responses posted by other surfers. To use the new service, a surfer needs an internet camera, and can see a preview of the clip before uploading it onto the site.
Walla's initiative gives the respondent a real face and identity, whereas before they were usually anonymous. With this service, persons posting talkback may feel that they turn into a commentator at the press of a button.
