Minister of Finance Ronnie Bar-On and Minister of National Infrastructures Benjamin Ben-Eliezer have appointed Ohad Marani as chairman of Israel Natural Gas Lines Company Ltd. The appointment comes less than a year after Marani left his post as chairman of Oil Refineries Ltd. (TASE:ORL), where he served before its privatization. He was previously director general of the Ministry of Finance.
The Shifnitz committee for senior the appointments of senior civil servants approved Marani's appointment yesterday. He will replace Nehama Sneh, who completed her term two months ago. Natural Gas Lines Co. CEO Dan Vardi is due to leave the company soon, and the company board will soon appoint a search committee to find his replacement.
Marani will not be paid for this position, and will therefore be able to seek other jobs.
