The company has opened an office in Russia.
Indoor wireless access solutions developer MobileAccess Inc. has opened an office in Russia and is hiring sales staff. Until now, the company focused on North America. It decided to expand into Eastern Europe because of the dizzying growth in telecommunications in region, including the Baltic states and Russia.
IKS Consulting says that Russia's wireless market grew by 34% in 2006 to $10.5 billion. Foreign investment in the country's telecommunications industry rose by 19.5% in 2006 to $4.1 billion. MobileAccess hopes to exploit this growth.
MobileAccess general manager Yehuda Holzman said, "MobileAccess identified the strong demand for our communications solutions. These markets have had impressive growth in the past two years. We expect that the launch of our new activity will be another step in our business development."
