B. Gaon Holdings Ltd. (TASE: GAON) subsidiary Gaon Agro Industries Ltd. (TASE: GAT) has acquired 33.3% of Thai retailer ATC Supply (1993) Co. Ltd. for $600,000 and will also extend a $75,000 owners' loan.
ATC markets and distributes agricultural inputs and concentrates for the Thai beverage industry, and also carries out agricultural projects in Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. ATC is an import trading joint venture with the Israel Selling Irrigation Product and Project Agriculture turn-key system.
Gaon Agro reports that ATC posted a net profit of 16.3 million baht (about $525,000) on 52 million baht (about $1.67 million) revenue in January-September 2007.
