Animation co AniBoom turns to cellular market

The firm has signed deals with global industry players.

Israeli animation start-up aniBoom Ltd. plans to enter the cellular market, and is setting up animation content channels via US, European, and Israeli cellular content distributors and cellular operators. Some of the channels are based on content intended for downloading, and others are based on broadcasting channels.

It will be possible to view aniBoom's animated clips on cellular telephones for a fee paid to the operator. Aniboom's marketing concept also includes the payment of royalties to animators around the world whose productions are purchased by viewers.

Last month, aniBoom signed distribution contracts with cellular operators and integrators, including Jamba in Germany, Cellfish Media in France, and Player X in the UK.
