RDT buys Modiin-based Jetro

Jetro is a developer of software for enterprises.

RDT Group Ltd. has acquired software vendor Jetro Platforms Ltd., which specializing in virtualization products for application delivery and end-user environments. The company did not disclose the size of the deal, but sources estimate it at $5-10 million.

Jetro was founded in 2001. The company's flagship products are Cockpit, a server-based computing product, and Cockpit2i, a first off-the-shelf web browser virtualization solution

RDT said that it plans to increase the investment in Jetro and expand its research and development and customer service capabilities, and to expand its global sales channels. RDT subsidiary Ankor Systems Ltd will join Jetro’s international network of distributors and resellers.

Jetro raised $3 million in three financing rounds from US investment fund Ocean Assets.

Jetro has 20 employees in its offices in Modiin.
