Leumi subsidiary allows check viewing

Yashir Harishon will not charge for the service.

Beginning this week, Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) subsidiary Yashir Harishon will allow customer to view their checks online. Checks can be viewed for 45 days after deposit. The bank will charge no fee for this service, for which it previously charged NIS 0.55.

In another consumer banking offer, Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) is offering teachers who manage a joint account and deposit two salaries in it the same terms as state employees. The bank will offer interest on credit balances of up NIS 7,000 in the current account. This interest is currently 3.21%. The bank will offer prime plus 1.4% on credit balances between NIS 7,000 and NIS 36,000. The offer will apply to current customers who are teachers and new ones.
