Although he has visited Israel before, this is Dell's first official visit.
Michael Dell will make a lightening visit to Israel on April 8. This will be the first official by the founder, chairman and CEO of Dell Inc. (Nasdaq: DELL), although he has made personal visits before, albeit quite some time ago.
Dell has headed Dell for 20 years, before retiring in 2004. His retirement did not last long, and he resumed his posts after the company's performance deteriorated against aggressive competition from Hewlett Packard Co. (NYSE:HPQ).
Dell Israel Ltd. has been managed by country manager Ra'anan Biber for ten years. The company had 100,000 computer sales in 2007, mostly to the business sector.
