"There is still no slowdown in economic activity."
The Dun & Bradstreet Israel payment ethic index showed a slight improvement in payment ethics in February 2008, and that the global crisis has not yet caused a slowdown in local economic activity. It noted that while the outlook is optimistic, the US economy is on the verge of slowdown, and even a recession according to the pessimists, and this will manifest itself in Israel's economic data sooner or later. For the time being, no significant slowdown has been seen in economic activity, with payment ethics largely unchanged.
According the index, 13.7% of the transactions in February were made in arrears, compared with 14.7% in December 2007. The Dun & Bradstreet Index expresses the proportion of transactions made in arrears in each sector.
