Web-to-mobile solution developer InfoGin and Comverse Technology Inc. (Pink Sheets: CMVT.PK) reported a "technology partnership" at the Las Vegas convention CTIA Wireless 2008.
The partnership is based on the two companies' complementary product and service offerings for mobile operators. InfoGin CEO and founder Eran Wyler explained that the joint project would allow consumers to access the Internet "on any mobile device".
In February, Comverse announced that the two firms had deployed InfoGin's Intelligent Mobile Platform and the Comverse Mobile Internet Gateway platform at Kyvistar, a leading Ukrainian operator with more than 23 million subscribers. As a result, the Ukrainian operator has successfully launched advanced mobile data services. The two companies also successfully launched the service with a Tier-1 operator in Western Europe.
InfoGin's IMP is a server-based middleware platform that supports all mobile browsers, languages and advanced Web page features.
Shares in Comverse rose 1.1% on Friday, reaching $15..88 in Nasdaq trading. The share price reflects a market cap of $3.2 billion.
