Time and attendance management software developer Synel Industries Ltd. (TASE: SNEL) will supply its automated terminals to Idit Food Technologies, a large food catering company. Idit won a bid for supplying food catering services to Israel Defense Force bases.
The SY-780 terminals will be used in a major meal supply privatization and automation project for IDF bases. The project is currently being implemented in large dining rooms, to be later extended to small dining rooms in small and remote bases.
The terminals will include options to define meal times and types. In addition, terminals are equipped with a printer that issues meal coupons. The system can identify what meal type has been consumed in which dining room and on what time.
The system is expected to cut down food and administrative expenses, and should significantly reduce the amount of food wasted.
Yesterday, Synel reported that it had signed a strategic distribution partnership agreement with SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE:SNX). The partnership enables Synel to offer its time and attendance and access control solutions - TimeLOG and Falcon through SYNNEX's information technology distribution channel. The agreement continues Synel's push in the global mid-sized businesses market.
Shares in Synel remained unchanged at NIS 17.17 in Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) trading yesterday and today.
