IFN wins contract with Mapping Center of Israel

The Mapping Center will set up a central system to serve users who want to access documents online or at the center's regional offices.

Enterprise content management company IFN Solutions Ltd. has won a contract with the Mapping Center of Israel to supply and integrate a content management system. The company did not disclose the value of the contract, but it is estimated to be worth several million shekels.

IFN will integrate an enterprise knowledge management system at the Mapping Center archive. The archive includes large numbers of maps, property registration papers, and field survey documentation. The system will combine the Mapping Center's geographic information management system and billing system. It will replace the Mapping Center's existing computerized archiving system with a customer-facing web-based customer-facing system. As part of the policy of improving public access to government services, the Mapping Center intends to set up a central system to serve users wishing to access documents either online or at the center's regional offices.

IFN, a subsidiary of Yael Software & Systems Ltd., represents IBM's Filenet, and is a licensed agent for its unified enterprise platform, which combines an enterprise content management platform with comprehensive business process management and compliance capabilities.
