64% of Israelis pay building committee fees

3% of respondents pay less that NIS 50 per month in building fees, while 3% pay more than NIS 300 per month.

64% of Israelis live in apartments and pay vaad bayit (building fees). The average fee is NIS 148 per month, according to a survey by Heker Rating Marketing Research Ltd. commissioned by "Globes".

In response to the question, "How much do you pay in building fees per month? 36% of respondents said that they paid none. Of the 64% of respondents who pay building fees, 23% said that they paid up to NIS 100 per month, 11% paid NIS 100-150 per month, and 18% paid more than NIS 150 per month. 12% said that they did not know how much they paid.

3% of respondents live in apartments with very low building fees of less than NIS 50 per month, while 3% pay more than NIS 300 per month.

81% of residents in the Dan Region pay building fees, 73% of persons without children pay building fees, as do 69% of person with higher education. The survey found no link between level of income and residence in an apartment or private house.
