TV and movie content search co Jinni raises $1m

Start-Up Factory provided the financing.

Personalized content search and discovery solutions developer Jinni Ltd. has raised $1 million in its first financing round from Start-Up Factory, an investment venture created by a group of high-tech angels. Jinni was founded by CEO Yosi Glick.

The company's search engine enables surfers to quickly and easily find movies TV shows, and professionally produced videos. The company operates an Internet service with affiliation program for Internet-TV operators as well as licenses its solution to global TV operators. Jinni's vision is to turn its natural metaphors' tagging system as the standard "language" of the entertainment market, replacing the exiting, somewhat antiquated and narrow “genre language”.
