Minister Ruhama Avraham-Balila buys villa in moshav

Very few of the moshav's residents still work in agriculture.

Minister without Portfolio Ruhama Avraham-Balila, who is in charge of Israel's 60th Independence Day celebrations, is marking a celebration of her own: she bought a house in Moshav Yad Rambam on the coastal plain for NIS 2 million.

Moshav Yad Rambam is located in the Gezer Regional Council east of Tel Aviv, and few of its 1,000 residents still work in agriculture. Avraham looked a number of houses in the moshav as well as in neighboring Moshav Beit Hahashmonai.

Diur Plus real estate agent Ophir Iluz told "Globes" that the largest houses in moshavim are 270-300 square meters on 600-square meter lots, and sell for around NIS 2 million. Smaller houses of 150-170 square meters sell for around NIS 1.7 million. "There is strong demand throughout this area and along the Jerusalem Corridor from urbanites from Jerusalem, Ramle, and Lod," he said.

Avraham's media advisor said, "The office does not respond to the private affairs of the minister."
