Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) and SanDisk Corporation (Nasdaq:SNDK) today held a soft launch for new and upgraded services, which will be marketed in the coming days. Cellcom and SanDisk also offering a mega-SIM card, with a 2-gigabyte capacity.
Cellcom is also offering a new content back-up service where subscribers will be able to save SMS, images, phone lists, and other items on a designated website. The information will be saved even when a subscriber changes his or her handset. Cellcom is expanding a service already offered by several cellular operators by providing the website back-up, where the data is always available and synchronized, and it can be managed and recovered.
