Desktop virtualization co Neocleus raises $11.4m

Previous investors Battery Ventures and Gemini Israel Funds both invested in the start-up's second round.

Israeli desktop virtualization start-up Neocleus Inc. has raised $11.4 million in its second financing round from Battery Ventures and Gemini Israel Funds, both previous investors in the company.

Neocleus CEO Ariel Gorfung and CTO Etay Bogner founded the company in 2006. The company has raised $5.2 million to date and has 20 employees. Neocleus's desktop and laptop virtualization solutions aim to provide flexibility, ease of management, and the security needed by enterprises operating in a dynamic business environment.

Last month, the company launched its first product for the open source community.
